About » General Info

My name is Téa (pronounced like Tay-ah), but because a lot of sites or even computers don’t display that accent on the ‘e’ properly, some people mistakenly think I’m named after the beverage. Oddly enough, I don’t especially mind it. However, it does annoy me when I’m referred to as Tia.

Graychalk.com initially existed as an invisible site. It has been around since 2006, I did some things with it, and I even blogged on it occasionally. The difference is it was a completely private space that no one knew about or had access to. It wasn’t until about the end of Feb2009 did I start to consider “opening the doors” to the domain (and not until April did that finally happen).

I’m fairly sure what I’m about to say next is considered website suicide by blogging standards these days and the numerous “How to Build a Good Blog” articles floating about on the internet, but I feel compelled to state anyway that graychalk.com does not have a unique focus to back itself, nor is it meant to cater to any particular audience. It’s not a blog with smart posts or deep levels of speculations about the latest in whatever topic, and it would likely never follow the update frequency regime that many others have adopted with their own blogs.

In the simplest of descriptions, graychalk.com is a very general personal blog that would likely consist of whatever holds my attention at the moment… and that could be a really wide range of things because I have more interests than a sane human being should. I have thoughts, often plenty of them, and I sometimes like to share them simply because I can… but only when I want to or have something to say. Thoughts aren’t something I can or want to force, and they come out however they like- eloquently or not. I guess I would like to keep that sentiment here. In a way, I suppose you can say I kind of miss the old school way of blogging (for me, personally, at least).

Still here? The sidebar has a couple of pages with more info if you’re so inclined.

Need to contact me? I can be reached via email at tea@graychalk.com. I receive a ton of emails a day, and it would help if you could please include a clear and relevant subject.
