Two posts back to back- I really need to be doing my work. :( But it’s been a while since I last posted a Lenormand daily reading, and I just wanted to record my impressions a bit.

The cards are 36 Cross + 13 Child + 35 Anchor
I drew these cards in the morning and wasn’t really sure what to make of it at first. Now, as I’m nearing the end of my day, I’ve come to realize that throughout the entire day, no matter what I was doing, I had been thinking about where my life was headed… the goals I had made in the past, what I wanted in my life, and most especially one particular project that I had always wanted to do but kept putting off for other outstanding responsibilities.
It hasn’t been pretty inside my head today as I try to reconcile with the fact that I’m really not happy with where I currently am in life. And then I got to thinking about all the job issues I’ve been having lately, along with a surprised realization that I might not mind too terribly if I do end up losing this job. It would certainly make my life less stressful, though really difficult financially… but most important of all, I would actually be able to perhaps pursue these goals of mine, get to work on my dream project.
I got so excited just thinking about it, I even began to mentally outline and plan out things. It’s a huge leap, it’s scary, it’s a risk, but I also felt like I was on the verge of something meaningful to me, my lifelong goals, and my need for this new purpose. Whether this is a thought that will change tomorrow or not, I don’t know. But today, I think that was what the cards were saying to me.

I was digging through my box of older and less-used decks when I came across this tiny one called Pandora Cards. I can no longer remember where I got it from, but I must have bought it close to 20 years ago judging by the decks it was stored with. It was almost like seeing it for the first time! I was honestly confused when I came upon it… lol. It’s definitely a quirky one though…

It’s published by U.S. Games in 1989 and created by Richard A. Blake and Louise Janitsch Blake. The blurb on the side of the box says, The First Steps to Overcoming Problems. I tried doing a search on it but didn’t have much luck. According to Amazon, it’s out of print. I guess it didn’t do very well?

Jalyn commented on one of my Tarot daily draws a while back, asking about how I usually approach my daily readings so I thought I’d talk about it a little here.
I love doing daily draws whenever time allows me to do so, because it always helps me connect with the cards in new and different ways even after so many years. Like many others, I admit that it used to be a hit or miss thing back when I first started doing them. Sometimes they were immediately obvious while other times I couldn’t make heads or tails out of them. But it was a learning process and I eventually realized that I was approaching it all wrong.
The thing is, daily draws (more so than general readings) are quite personal in how it applies to you. Some people see them as a general theme going on in their lives at the time, some as specific events that play out during the day, while others see the cards as a larger message they need to pay attention to at that point in time. At the end of the day, though, it’s all about figuring out what works for you and then connecting with your cards that way. Or some like to call it “training your cards” to deliver what you ask. :)
Below are just some of the ways and habits I’ve picked up along the years as to what I like to do for my Tarot daily readings, as well as a bit of an explanation on the spreads I like to use.

Ah, it’s been a while since I’ve last updated. Things have just been so busy at work. I have been doing readings and jotting them down in my journal, but I just haven’t had the chance to do in-depth analyzing here on this blog. :( Several readings have been very insightful though (and also already confirmed), so I’m wondering if I should post them here and backdate them anyway for those who might be interested in seeing how the cards’ messages correlate with actual events that followed…
In any case, my RSS feeds seems to be acting quirky where it grabs any edits or updates I’ve made to a post and throw it up to the front in duplicates as though they’re new entries (??). So if any of you are noticing old entries repeating and appearing to the front and such, please excuse it.
Other than that, I’ve added updates to 2 readings- it was quite accurate and interesting to see how the cards have panned out:
- Lenormand Timing: Gentleman Incoming (Mar 19) - purely timing
- Lenormand Line of 9: About Work (Apr 1)
I know I still owe someone a post on the way I approached my daily Tarot, so I’ll get to that soon… I promise!
