Updating Plans… and Stuff

I haven’t been as active on here as I was planning- I still want to post about the Housewives Tarot deck, a detailed example reading using my Journey spread with both Tarot and the Lenormand, and various other stuff. I’ll get to them soon! I’ve been swamped at work and things haven’t been looking great on that front.
Any free time I had, I was busy setting up a cartomancy forum with my fellow card lover friends, Fenn and Wood. If you love cartomancy, whether with the Lenormand, Tarot cards, or any oracle cards at all, you should give it a visit! It’s new, and we’d love to have more members. I like that we can talk about all sorts of cartomancy methods in a relaxed manner- it’s not an uptight board. ;) Plus there’s a lacking for an English forum that’s focused more on oracle decks. That aside, I just wanna give a heads up about possible RSS updates going bonkers with listing any updated entries as new again. I’m going to be trying to add a “related entries” section which would require me to go through some entries to edit them. I still can’t figure out why my RSS feeds are acting weird with updated entries, but please bear with me through this implementation. I’m hoping that after adding this bit in, it’ll make browsing the entries smarter and more convenient. :)
Note: If you guys see odd “related entries” tacked to the bottom of this post or at the comment page… please just ignore it. I need to test it out so I’m using this post to do it!
Test test test: Fake edit to test RSS feed issue. Trying to fix the RSS duplicate entries problem… sorry if this ends up not working and you guys are seeing this entry as a new feed again. Somehow, I’ll get to the bottom of it!
Daily Lenormand: Stars + Dog + Letter (+Ring)

The cards are 16 Stars + 18 Dog + 27 Letter (+ 25 Ring)
I decided to draw from my Mlle. Lenormand Jeu du Destin No.194115 Piatnik deck today since it’s a newer deck I got and haven’t had the chance to give it a run yet. The pictures are much softer than the Blue Owl and the colors are pretty too. :)
I initially drew only 3 cards, but I was really drawn towards a particular card in my fan, so I drew that one too to make a 4th. My initial thought at seeing Stars, Dog, and Letter was that I might finally hear from a dear friend who had disappeared on me. I’ve been very worried about him as the last I heard from him, he was having some serious health issues… and then he disappeared. Star could represent my hope that he’s alright, and Letter could be that he’ll get back to me soon.
Drawing a 4th card and getting the Ring throws this reading off somehow though. It seems the message I would be getting might actually be related to a marriage, contract, or some kind of agreement instead. Maybe I’ll hear about a friend getting married? I’m wondering if this could have to do with a friend of mine who’s having marriage problems and is dealing with a divorce although he’s still hoping that he could save his marriage though. Lastly, it could also still be talking about my work-related contract issues again. Hmm… will update once I know.
Tea’s Journey Spread

I’ve been wanting to share this spread for a while now, but I had wanted to test it out with the Lenormand first to see how well it worked with cards other than the Tarot. I was not disappointed! I originally created this spread many years ago for use with the Tarot, but I’m happy to say that it works wonderfully with the Lenormand too.
It’s personally one my favorite layouts to use, especially when I need to dig deep down into the heart of the matter. A fair warning now for the spread’s bluntness though- I’ve found that I’m always being slapped upside the head by the messages it can deliver. I call it the Journey spread, because it details the “journey” that one is on, whether about love, work, family, or even a specific issue. Here’s the basic gist of how the spread will be laid out:
It’s a multi-layered layout, using 9 cards total with various different ways to read them. And now, onto a breakdown of what the positions mean and how they can be read, etc.

The cards are 25 Ring + 23 Mice + 28 Gentleman
I drew these cards earlier this morning, but I think it may have already played out. Seeing these 3 cards, I initially thought it might be referring to my work issues yet again- especially with all that stress and loss relating to a contract and a man who could be G from my previous work readings. But I didn’t want to fall into the trap of reading everything to be about work just because I was having problems in that area- plus with where things are right now, those 3 cards shouldn’t apply to today. That said, here are other possibilities I was thinking about…

Deck: Housewives Tarot
I got The Housewives Tarot a few months ago but, for various reasons, haven’t had the chance to truly sit down and spend some time with them until today- which is a real shame because I absolutely love this deck. (I’ll put together another post to talk about the deck soon.) For now, though, it’s time for another one of my “new deck” intro reading. :D
I usually use a spread with specific position/question assignments for this type of reading, but I thought I’d keep it loose like the one I did to ask about my Lenormand journey. So! Just a general 3-card draw, asking how my relationship with the Housewives deck would be like:
The cards are 2 of Wands + King of Wands + 5 of Wands
I had to laugh the moment I took a good look at these three cards. Well, this deck definitely knows how to get right to the heart of the matter and in quite a practical sense too!
