Deck: Blue Owl - Lenormand
Spread: General 3-Card Draw
With my surgery scheduled soon after I received my Lenormand deck last week, I haven’t really had much chances to properly sit down and give it the attention I’ve been wanting to. I’ve been feeling much better though, so I thought I’d finally try a daily reading for the first time. I hope 3 cards isn’t being too excessive for a beginner doing a daily draw…

The cards are 31 Sun + 10 Scythe + 28 Man
It’s kind of interesting how the Scythe has popped up again today. In the general outlook reading I did last week, the Scythe was talking about my dental surgery on the 19th. Coincidentally, I have an appointment later today to get my wound checked and to remove my stitches if all appears to be healing well. Judging from the appearance of said card and the optimism in the Sun, it looks like I’m probably healing fairly well and will indeed be getting my stitches removed today after all.
As for the Man, my initial thought is that it could simply be my dentist/specialist since I’m seeing him today. However, after looking into some info on possible Scythe+Man meanings, I’ve found that he sounds like a horrible guy (aggressive, a bully, and possibly dangerous). Yikes. Now I’m hoping he’s not my dentist. Looking at Sylvie’s book, I’m seeing “critical individual, sharp, hurtful” which kinda prompted me to think of this from another angle. Maybe if I don’t read this as a person’s characteristics, all my cards could possibly be saying that my wound is healing well (Sun) so I’ll be getting my stitches removed (Scythe) by my dentist (Man) but it’s gonna hurt (Scythe+Man). I suppose I’ll have to see later… will of course update.
Update!
@ 10:30PM: I did indeed have my stitches removed today. My dentist/specialist said everything appears to be fine and I should be on my way to recovery (it’s gonna take about 3 months for a full recovery though). He was very nice and didn’t act like a bully nor was he aggressive. In fact, he was very patient with me and my questions so I don’t think the Scythe+Man in this case is describing his characteristics and I didn’t deal with anyone like that today either. However, it was actually painful when the stitches were being removed. My wound was still sore and having surgical scissors poking around the area was pure ouch, so maybe that was it after all?
