There are days when absolutely nothing seems to be happening, but sometimes, that’s exactly what we need… just a little pause in life before the activity of the next begins. Perhaps we’ve set our roots, made our plans, decided on what we need or want to do next. Perhaps there are things coming up soon, but between the past of yesterday and the plans of tomorrow, sometimes we need to stop and take a little breath today. That’s how today felt like to me… though granted, that may also just be the lazy 9 of Cups speaking.

In a daily reading, when the 9 of Cups pops up especially on a position like the Outer, I tend to think of laziness, often times the indulging kind where I’m happily doing absolutely nothing. It certainly felt that way for me from the moment I woke up… perhaps an aftermath of a particularly draining day yesterday, as updated on my daily reading from the day before. I’ve been making a few plans recently, working on changing my life bit by bit… something that’s been long overdue in a way. Nothing too major- it’s more a way of life than anything, but it’s really been bringing me a lot of inner peace lately with a more optimistic outlook and expectation personally. I feel that’s the 3 of Wands here.

I’m currently going through a Judgment time after my 2 months of Death‘s influence, so it fits to see it come up for the Inner position today when I’m also being a little melancholic. It’s been one of those days that seemed to lack energy or excitement… but I see it more like a little break that we all need sometimes. I spent most of the day browsing and reading really great stuff on the Tarot, pondering about my own studies, reflecting about my life, and of course, just being lazy. Nothing wrong with that, right? ;)
