Daily Tarot: Overall-Inner-Outer

Deck: Morgan Greer Tarot
Spread: Daily 3 - Overall-Inner-Outer

I tend to go through phases on how I like to do my Tarot daily draws, but it’s usually how I feel would work best for my life at the time. Lately, I’ve taken to doing 3 cards for positions Overall, Inner, and Outer, and the results have been quite insightful- especially in hindsight. Here are the cards I drew for today:

Note: The middle card is drawn first, and the 3 cards together forms a triangle.

Overall: The Emperor
Inner: 3 of Swords
Outer: 8 of Wands

This looks like I’d be having a fairly busy day (8 of Wands), possibly with things that would cause me some distress (3 of Swords). However, it should be a fairly organized mess (The Emperor) and perhaps it’s also telling me to approach things logically and decisively- to get my life in order, which would apply with my life recently. I’ve been trying to “organize” my life a bit and prioritizing things after a recent bout of the Death card passing in my life during the last 2 months. The Emperor is also facing the 3 of Swords though, so maybe I have to make a logical decision about something that might cause me to be upset?

I was already woken up by a phone call from a friend I hadn’t seen or heard from in a while, so maybe that’s what 8 of Wands is. I’ll post more later tonight…

Update!

@ 1:34AM: Well… I can most definitely say it’s been an 8 of Wands type of day. I ended up receiving a couple of phone calls from friends I hadn’t heard from in ages. One wanted to meet for a late dinner and another was in town visiting and called to make tentative plans to meet up this weekend. My sister also called and asked me to go shopping for jeans with her and her friend after work. AND I had a dentist appointment today as well. All this is quite rare for me, as it’s usually much more normal for my day to pass by quietly in a fairly boring manner and most certainly with no phone calls from friends since most of them are either ridiculously busy or they live overseas.

The Emperor‘s approach was definitely required to fit everything in today as they was literally planned one after another and right down to the minutes. However, I think he’s also talking about my need to make a difficult decision logically in regards to some dental issues I’ve been having. My appointment today was to finish up a root canal, but I also had to speak to a specialist about a long-standing problem I have that would need a complicated procedure, a surgery, and also an implant (possibly what the 3 of Swords is referring to as well). In some ways, it’s a lose-lose type of decision and one that I have difficulty making because of that. I know which choice I would’ve preferred, but I also know which one is the one that makes more sense (also suggested by the specialist). Unfortunately, they’re not the same thing… and I think the Emperor is talking about the necessity of making that decision about my surgery (3 of Swords), even if it causes me distress (3 of Swords again).
