The cards played out by evening. I had been having a lot of house problems due to a renovation gone terribly wrong last year- it’s caused us a heck load of headache, stress, and financial issues. We’ve also been battling said problems with the guy who was in charge of the renovation. He’s been completely irresponsible about all these problems we’re having that’s caused by the horrible job he and his contractors did with our place, and we paid him a lot too. To make matters more stressful, he’s been dodging us these past couple of months even as the problems grew instead of coming in and fixing what he did wrong. Some Money+Thief summed that up.

Anger following was my mom exploding but also the fact that we were finally able to get him to call someone in here to check up on a few pressing matters that needed fixing ASAP. Through this process, we were all quite upset because the problems turned out to be just as horrible as some of our worst fears and then some.

We managed to discover some stuff we had been suspecting for a while in regards to the “shortcuts” (Some Money+Thief) his contractors took while renovating our place but couldn’t prove. And we were also able to get confirmation that we do have the beginnings of a termite infestation and that these (on top of the weird bugs) were indeed caused by the aforementioned shortcuts. This is, of course, reminding me of the lengthy analysis I did of a Lenormand daily last week.

I’m only touching upon the tip of the iceberg here. And while we’re all really upset about this, I’m relieved in some way that a part of our issue was finally looked into- fears confirmed or not. Some of it we can’t do anything about anymore unless we were to go through another complete renovation (which we can’t do), but a few things can be patched up as best as possible under the circumstances. That’s the most we can hope for at this point. You get some, you lose some (Some Money).

So were we jibbed? Totally. But in this case, Anger was really one of the only cards possible to get that still meant something positive in our case. Anything better would have been unrealistic.
