Lenormand Timing: Gentleman Incoming!

Deck: Blue Owl - Lenormand

While perusing Sylvie’s book yesterday, I couldn’t resist throwing the classic layout she mentioned that uses the entire deck (it’s the first spread she mentioned!). Needless to say, that’s totally over my head at this point, and I won’t bother posting it here because trying to decipher all that would make me explode I’m sure. I merely took note of some main cards and jotted the lay down in my journal for reference. A couple of things did catch my eye though, so I decided to use this opportunity to try out timing with the Lenormand regarding a mystery man, especially since a recent Tarot reading I did seems to point to similar things as well.

I’m using 28 Gentleman as my focus card with an emphasis on when this person would come into play.

The cards are 9 Bouquet + 17 Storks + 34 Fish + 28 Man + 18 Dog + 17 Whip + 2 Clover

Interestingly enough, most of these cards appeared in the immediate vicinity of the Man in my 36-card throw with the rest in close proximity as well. Also, the Dog popping up right next to the Man might be saying that I already know this person in some way. I will have to see how that all correlate, but for now, here’s the timing reference:

9 Bouquet - September, 9 days, 9 weeks, or 9 months
17 Storks - seasonal change like spring time
34 Fish - Pisces time for February 21-March 21
18 Dog - no timing
11 Whip - October-November or winter time
2 Clover - February, 2 days, 2 weeks, or 2 months

Let’s see… out of all that, there are 3 possible timings depicted:

  1. Bouquet’s 9 months would add up to the 3rd week of December, within Whips time frame of winter
  2. Clover’s 2 days would still fit into Fish’s Pisces time and the Storks seasonal change
  3. Clover’s 2 months matches up with Bouquet’s 9 weeks and also Storks’ spring time

What drew my attention immediately upon drawing these cards is Clover, so I’m going to use that as my jumping point. Out of the 3, the last one seems to match up the most and also makes the most sense as the 2nd would likely be too fast while the 1st seems a bit far off, not to mention a bit weak in the timing support. So my verdict would be:

However way this man is going to come into play, it would probably fall around 2 months or 9 weeks from now… making that the week of May 17th to 23rd. And he’s likely not a complete stranger (Dog). Hmm. When the time comes, I’ll hopefully remember to update this.

Update!

May 18, 2009: This turned out to be quite interesting. A man did indeed creep up and come into play- not this week though, but a few days early on May 14th though it is currently still playing out. I actually did a few readings a month ago that I didn’t post on this journal which pointed here too, so I’m surprised at how everything played out. The story is a tad long and also a bit personal, so I’ll leave it at that… but I can say that this timing prediction experiment turned out to be quite accurate. The Dog was indeed a mention of someone I already know, and perhaps the Clover catching my eye might also have been telling me that it’d come with a surprise twist. It was a sudden, blast from the past type of thing. Out of the blue, I heard from a man I hadn’t seen, heard from, or heard of in 13 years.
