Deck: Morgan Greer Tarot
Spread: Daily 3 - Overall-Inner-Outer
It’s 4:30am and I really should be sleeping, but I quite unexpectedly had a Tarot A-HA! moment in my daily reading that I just have to post before I finally call it a night (or morning). Earlier in the day, I pulled these cards for my daily draw…

+
Note: The middle card is drawn first, and the 3 cards together forms a triangle. The last is a “crowning” card to give an extra insight on today’s influence.
Overall: 2 of Pentacles
Inner: The Sun
Outer: 7 of Wands
Crown: 8 of Swords
When I first saw these cards, I wondered if I was having an off-day because for some reason, I drew a blank. It just didn’t click nor did it feel like it could apply to what I had planned for the day (hence the reason I even drew an extra “Crowning” card). I felt rather blah, didn’t have anything major planned for me to feel like I’m fighting off obstacles, nor do I have to make any kind of juggling with my money (I was staying home all day). Perhaps a decision I have to make? A reminder to do some book-keeping (something I do need to do)? I felt like I was reaching though, so I did what I usually do when this happens since the cards have often found a way to surprise me anyway. I left the cards lying in the open on my bed in hopes that something would fall in place at one point or another as I go through my day, which it didn’t at all (already a bit of 8 of Swords, eh?)... at least not until now.
All day long, I had pretty much been sitting in front of my computer working on a couple of websites (coding, tweaking designs, doing some CMS template set-ups). It was tedious work and steadily got worse throughout the day, because there was a mistake somewhere that I couldn’t find so I was wading in pages of code and tackling them in frustration. I should have already noticed this was the beginning of the workings of 7 of Wands along with my short-circuited thoughts and being trapped in this nightmarish code (8 of Swords). It also didn’t click at the time that I was working on 2 websites simultaneously and literally juggling between the two (2 of Pentacles, anyone?). Then some time around midnight, I thought I finally solved the issue only to discover that said sites weren’t rendering properly on Windows (I was working on a Mac this entire time)... hence the beginnings of my true juggling, this time not only between 2 websites but now also between 2 computers!
Finally, after a few more hours of jumping back and forth… I figured out the problem and was able to tackle the issue one by one until it was all solved (7 of Wands again). I was about to burst from joy and childish happiness (because I’m a geek like that and get overly excited when I overcome a coding glitch). Hello Sun! I got up, stretched a bit, was about to go get a drink of water when I noticed the cards on my bed… and everything just clicked suddenly and fell perfectly into place, right up to the last piece and pretty much at the last moment of my day as I’m about to go sleep now.
Don’t you just love the cards? Even after 20-ish years of reading them, I’m still constantly amazed by little things like this. :)
Hi! First time commenting but I’ve been reading your tarot posts here! I’m pretty new to tarot reading compared to you (only about 2 years) so seeing how you’re doing your daily reading is very helpful. I haven’t had any luck doing daily readings myself because I can’t relate to it daily very well. Reading your posts makes me want to try again!
If you don’t mind my asking, can you explain a little about how you approach daily readings and the spread you’re using? Thank you very much!
Hi Jalyn,
Thanks for visiting and commenting!
I’m glad the posts have been helpful for you. I’ll be happy to explain how I do my daily readings, but it’s probably too lengthy to reply via a comment. Instead, I’ll put together a post and add it onto the blog soon. :)
